The concept of alchemy can be applied to our trauma, transforming our unpleasant experiences into something better, like the process of turning metal into gold. Just as alchemists transmute the properties of an object, we have the power to alchemize our trauma and liberate ourselves. Our trauma becomes the key to our freedom.
Unpacking My Personal Healing Journey
In my journey towards healing, I began to experience chronic neck pain. At first, I attributed it to physical factors such as pillow choices or posture. However, as the pain intensified, I realized it was a manifestation of stored trauma in my body. It was a wake-up call to address the emotional aspects of my healing. I started exploring various methods for relief, including acupuncture, stretching, and yoga – all focusing on the physical aspect of my pain. However, it wasn't until I had the realization that the pain was a result of stored trauma in my neck that I understood the depth of the healing work I needed to embark on.
Confronting the Past: Sharing My Truth
In the midst of my healing journey, I knew it was essential to confront the source of my trauma. I decided to share my story with my mother, who was still in a relationship with my stepfather. As I struggled to find the words, the blockage in my throat energy center resurfaced – a physical manifestation of the trauma I had kept hidden.
During the emotional conversation, I realized that the stored trauma wasn't mine to begin with; it was energy that had been passed down. As I cleared my energy, I returned it to its source, my stepfather. This realization allowed me to release the anger and blame, recognizing his potential for light and growth.
The Path of Healing: Regulating the Nervous System
Regulating our nervous system is crucial in our healing journey. I found that effortless meditation was a powerful tool to achieve this. By dedicating time each day to meditation, I focused on relaxing, releasing stress, and dissolving the stored energy from my body. Regulating the nervous system creates a safe space within ourselves, a foundation for authentic healing.
Feeling Emotions Unconditionally: The Key to Alchemising Trauma
To alchemise trauma, we must feel our emotions unconditionally in our bodies. This involves perceiving our emotions through felt sensations and allowing them to flow without judgment or resistance. It can be beneficial to have someone guide us through this process, such as an inner growth coach or a psychologist. They provide support and help us navigate the challenging path of healing.
Liberation and Gratitude: The Fruits of Healing
As I embarked on this healing journey, I came to appreciate that liberation isn't just about experiencing joy and lightness, but rather freedom from the charged emotions associated with our trauma. By fully exploring and processing our traumas, we can find freedom and liberation. I now feel gratitude for these experiences, as they have allowed me to know myself on a deeper level, unveiling hidden gifts and strengths.
Finding liberation through alchemising trauma is a transformative journey. It begins with recognizing our trauma and understanding its lasting emotional impact. By regulating our nervous system and feeling our emotions unconditionally, we can create a foundation for healing and transformation.
